This is an accelerated 24-54 week Medical Assistant program spent in online and with an internship of 80 hours. Classes are done online and followed a clinical internship. The program provides instruction on the clinical skills needed to work in medical doctors’ offices, HMOs, clinics and at hospitals with inpatient and exam rooms. Our Medical Assistant program is focused entirely on the clinical technical requirements and requires classes.
Our students are given the opportunity to become proficient in Phlebotomy, EKG, and clinical medical assisting techniques including: physical exams, injections, exam room preparation, test procedures, sterile techniques, medical terminology, taking vital signs, patient assessment, and more. After successfully completing the program, students should be prepared to work in an entry-level position in a variety of medical settings.
At M&A Community Outreach Center, Inc. we will go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that our students are thoroughly prepared for the certification examination with NHA, AMCA, AAH, and or MEDCA and certification agencies.
Our MA course is 500 hours in length, and will run for approximately 24-54 weeks. The Certification examination is completed online. Certification is not included in the price of the course.
